The Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati (JASGC) recently hosted its Annual Shinnenkai, a time-honored tradition to celebrate the New Year and renew connections for the coming year.
This year, we were thrilled to host a record number of attendees at Blue and Co’s beautiful atrium in the Sawyer Point Building in Downtown Cincinnati. The event featured appetizers from Mei Japanese Restaurant and a selection of beverages, including beer and wine made possible by our generous sponsors.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our event sponsors. Our Platinum Beverage sponsor was Taft. Gold Beverage Sponsors included Blue and Co, David W. Cook (Honorary Consul General of Japan in Ohio), and Koichi and Harumi Morimoto. Silver Beverage Sponsors were Steve and Helen Rindsberg, Koji Sado, PwC, Sun Chemical Corporation, Hylant Group Inc., John & Natalie Skarzynski, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. We were also delighted to have Asahi Beer USA on board as our Japanese Beer Sponsor.
The Shinnenkai event serves as a testament to the strong community ties within JASGC. Please remember that if your company or organization is a member of the JASGC, you are automatically a member too! If you have any questions about your membership status or wish to become a member, do not hesitate to contact us via email.
As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering understanding and friendship between Japan and Greater Cincinnati through our events. If you’re interested in supporting these initiatives, please contact Executive Director Anne Golden (golden@jasgc.org).
We extend our sincere thanks to all members who attended and contributed to this memorable occasion, and we look forward to welcoming you at upcoming JASGC events!
